Thomas J. Heenan, Jr.

Thomas John “Thom” Heenan, Jr., age 68, passed away on September 3, 2025, in Christiana, Delaware. Born on January 7, 1957, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Thom brought warmth and laughter to those around him throughout his life.

Thom was a proud Philadelphian at heart and a lifelong die-hard fan of the Philadelphia Eagles. His passion for the team was matched only by his love for music and film. Whether cheering with friends and family or from his favorite spot at home, Thom’s enthusiasm was infectious. He had an uncanny ability to connect with people—thanks to his great sense of humor and the gift of gab that made every conversation memorable.

He is lovingly remembered by his daughters, Amber Heenan and Cassie Heenan; his dear friend and ex wife, Jodi Blumberg Heenan; his sister, Sharon Hentz (Vince Hentz); and his cherished grandson, Cree Thomas. Thom also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who were touched by his vibrant spirit and countless friends who will miss his wit and warmth.

Thom was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Heenan and Catherine Hurd Heenan; his son, Randy Heenan; his brother, Michael Heenan; and his sister, Kathy McGonagle (Vince McGonagle).

A celebration of Thom’s life will be held at a later date, details to follow in the coming weeks.
