Thomas J. Mcmenamin, Sr.

Thomas J. McMenamin, Sr. passed away peacefully with his wife at his side, on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia, PA. He was 73. Thomas was a resident of Bridgeport, PA. He worked as a general manager for the ABCO Oil Company for many years. In recent years, he worked part time at Lowe’s in Oaks, PA. Tom was a skilled handyman who enjoyed going to the Poconos, camping at French Creek, woodworking, and auto racing. Born in Norristown, PA, he was a son of the late James J. and Anna (Kleinert) McMenamin. Surviving is his loving family including his wife of 42 years, Mildred “Millie” (Kelley) McMenamin; a son, Thomas J. McMenamin, II and his wife, Gina, of Collegeville, PA; six grandchildren: Thomas J. McMenamin, III, Ryne, Aubree and Trent Becker, and Sam & Joe Musetti; a brother, Charles McMenamin and his significant other, Tony Paolini of Norristown; two sisters, Veronica “Bonnie” Shupard and her husband, Ron and Gertrude “Trudy” McGee and her husband, Pat, both of Norristown; and many other loving family members. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah L. Becker; two sisters, M. Patricia Waters and Beverly Smith; and three brothers: James III, William “Buddy” and Francis T. McMenamin. Services and interment will be private at the request of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Tom’s memory to Fox Chase Cancer Center, 333 Cottman Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19111.
