THOMAS “TOM” ROBERT SANGERMAN

Tom was born in Gary, Indiana on Monday, May 23rd, 1955, and passed away on Friday, November 17th, 2023. Tom is survived by his daughter Chanda, granddaughter Maya, and his 7 siblings … Karen (Don) Lendrum, Mike (Pegg) Sangerman, Kathy (Steve) Heck, Carolyn Sangerman, Robert Sangerman, Steve (Barb) Sangerman, and John (Katie) Sangerman. He was preceded in death by his Mother & Father, Norma Jean & Robert Lucian Sangerman.

Tom proudly served his country as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force.

Tom was a hard guy not to like. He was genuine, and what you saw was what you got. No apologies for who he was. He was a generous spirit, and always quick to laugh. When Tom was on his game, he was meticulous in completing a project, especially painting. He loved fiercely, and without reserve. He enjoyed a larger than life smile, and laughed often … many times at himself! Tom was an avid reader, and loved sharing knowledge. He was generous with his time and his affection. His presence will be missed dearly.

Tom had a profound love of music, and a keen sense of musical knowledge.

Tom was a ruggedly handsome man. He was a hit with the younger & more experienced sophisticated ladies. Tom introduced his big brother Mike to his then high school sweetheart, and now wife. Tom had a penchant for driving you crazy … but we all do that! Tom loved & cherished his family very much! Tom was a wonderful Son, Brother, Father, Step-Father, Grandfather, Uncle and Friend.
