Thomas J. Scully

Thomas J. Scully, 95, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 22 at Bryn Mawr Hospital. Born in Philadelphia, the son of the late John & Catherine. Preceded in death by Catherine, John (twin), and Ann. Tom graduated from St Thomas More. He served in the Army-Air Corp as Staff Sergeant during WWII. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Drexel and Master’s from Penn State while working at General Electric Co. Tom retired after 44 years with 7 patents for his creative innovations and was a member of IEEE. Tom, an avid reader and history buff, was a member of Trinity Church and UM Senior Center. He leaves behind a loving wife of 72 years, Marie, four daughters; Patricia (late Skip), Roseanne (Charles), the late Susan (late Robert) and Janet (Randy); a granddaughter, Tina (Michael); five grandsons: Steven, Daniel, Ryan (Chelsea), Kyle, and Matthew; and a great-granddaughter, Isabelle. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Trinity Church Gulph Mills, 966 Trinity Rd., King of Prussia, PA 19406 on Saturday, July 29. Starting with greetings at 9:00am, service at 10, then followed by Inurnment at Valley Forge Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Upper Merion Senior Service Center , 431 W. Valley Forge Rd., King of Prussia, PA 19406 and/or Neighborhood Meals on Wheels , P.O.
