Thomas Philip Tone, Sr. passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 5, 2018, surrounded by his loving family at his residence in Gulph Mills, PA. He was 67. Mr. Tone worked as an electrician for many years. He enjoyed music and playing the guitar and violin. He liked fishing, rappelling, archery, building model ships, and repairing cars. Thomas loved working with his hands and he actually built his own home. He was a US Navy Veteran who volunteered to serve in Vietnam and started a support group called Veterans Helping Veterans. Thomas was a very generous man who had a great love for his family, especially his grandchildren. Born in Philipsburg, NJ on April 13, 1951, he was a son of Marian (Miller) Tone and the late Philip Tone. Surviving is his loving family including his wife of 45 years, Maureen Frances (Buler) Tone; four children: Thomas Philip (Becky) Tone, Jr., Shannon Marie Tone, Lindsey Kate (Jeff) Limone and Allen Christopher Tone; ten grandchildren: Thomas III, Gabrielle, Autumn, Stephanie, Jeffrey Jr., Nicholas, Anthony, Jacob, Chase and Cole; three brothers: Jerry (Mary) Tone Patrick (Sarah) Tone and Joseph Tone; and many other loving family members. Preceded in death by a cousin, David Miller. Funeral services and interment will be private at the request of the family.
