Thomas Edward Warner

Thomas Edward Warner passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 30, 2026 at the age of 83. Tom was a lifelong resident of Norristown and a proud member of Holy Saviour Church. He was the kind of person who stayed rooted in the community he loved. His close friends simply called him TEW, and some affectionately called him Wild Man, a nickname that captured his lively spirit and the way he was always on the move.

Tom was born in Conshohocken on September 11, 1942, to Oscar and Anastasia Warner (Zeleski). He grew up with a strong work ethic and a love for tinkering, always happiest when he had a project in front of him. After graduating from Conshohocken High School, he joined the United States Army and served his country with pride. When he returned home, he worked a variety of jobs over the years, including Mack Trucks Inc. and Conicelli Chevrolet. His final and longest position was with Delaware Valley Concrete, where he spent more than twenty years as a dispatcher. People relied on him because he was steady, dependable, and always willing to help.

Tom also spent several years running an automotive repair shop out of his home garage with his best friend Jamie. They called it “J & T Garage (on the hill)”. It became a familiar spot in the neighborhood, a place where cars were fixed, stories were shared, and friendships grew stronger.

On October 16, 1965, Tom married the love of his life, Dolores Marie (Capaldo). According to the calendar that year it was known as Sweetest Day, a detail never forgotten. Their marriage lasted almost 61 years and was filled with family, traditions, and the kind of everyday moments that become the memories people hold onto.

Tom was a devoted Eagles fan and held season tickets at the Vet during the 1980s. He enjoyed tending his flower garden and took real pride in keeping it looking just right. He was a three time winner of the Norristown Garden Club award for best side yard. He also had his favorite local spots, and anyone who knew him knew how often he stopped in at Franzone’s Pizza in Conshohocken. He was a familiar face there for many years. One of his happiest places was his small vacation home on Chincoteague Island, Virginia. He loved being there with his family and enjoyed the slower pace of the island.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by his two daughters, Dana Garcia and her husband Ray, and Erica Baginski and her husband Paul. He is also survived by his grandchildren Andrew, Jacob, and Lily, who brought him so much joy. He is remembered by many extended family members and friends. Tom was preceded in death by his dear sister, Carolyn Ferst.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, from 9 to 9:50 a.m. at Holy Saviour Roman Catholic Church at 407 E. Main Street in Norristown. His Funeral Mass will begin at 10 a.m. Inurnment will follow at St. Matthew Cemetery Mausoleum in Conshohocken.
