Tilda Elias

Tilda Elias, 81, of Philadelphia, PA, peacefully passed away on Sunday, December 15th, 2024 at her cherished residence. Born on August 3, 1943 (her birthday was always celebrated on July 4th), in Salinas, Puerto Rico, Tilda was the beloved daughter of the late Pilar (Aponte) and Pedro Opio. She is now reunited with her beloved husband, Pablo Elias Sr.

Tilda was a devoted mother to Pablo Elias Jr., Cynthia Camacho, and Tilda Elias. Her legacy continues through her six grandchildren: Pablo, Jahlil, Cintia, Cristina, Selena, and Sofia, and her two great-grandchildren, Alaia and Cairo, who were her pride and joy.

Tilda’s love for life was infectious. She was a master in the kitchen, finding immense joy in cooking and hosting gatherings. Her home, especially the kitchen, was a sanctuary where family and friends often came together. Butterflies, elephants, and pyramids fascinated her, and she delighted in collecting and learning about them. Her grocery shopping trips were adventures, and her love for flowers, especially daisies and cacti, was evident in her beautiful garden and throughout her home.

Paloma, her faithful dog, was her constant companion, and her love for her and the other animals in her life was a testament to her kind and gentle spirit.

Tilda's warmth, generosity, and passion for life left an indelible mark on everyone she met. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered with love and gratitude by her family and friends.

Public Visitation will be held from 12 noon to 1 PM on Friday, December 20th. 2024 at the Joseph J. McGoldrick Funeral Home, 507 West Ave. in Jenkintown, PA. A Religious Service will be held at 1 PM.
