Timothy John Spangler, 70, of King of Prussia passed away Monday, January 15th, 2024 from heart failure. He was born November 15, 1953 in Lancaster and grew up in Lititz, PA. He is survived by his wife Linda Spangler, (nee Filoon), children Stephanie and Timothy, all of King of Prussia; his brother David Spangler, Mechanicsville, VA; sister Mary (John) Krieger, Mechanicsville, VA; brothers-in-law Bob (Lisa) Filoon, Blue Bell, PA; Stephen (Lisa) Filoon, West Chester, PA; and sister-in-law Marie (Mike) Dominico, King of Prussia, PA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Tim was preceded in death by his parents Eugene Herr Spangler and Anneliese (Rieser) Spangler, in-laws Bob and Loretta (Martino) Filoon, sister-in-law Donna (Gough) Spangler, nephew Peter Filoon and niece Elizabeth (Krieger) Holt.
Tim retired from working as a senior network engineer at Pepper Hamilton Law Firm in 2020. He spent his retirement enjoying golf, cigars, chasing deer out of his garden, visiting the shooting range and Bible study with good friends. He served as Clerk of Session at the First Presbyterian Church of Bridgeport for many years and was a very active, faithful member of the congregation for over 40 years. Tim had a strong faith and passed the love of the Lord on to his family. It was important to him to share the Gospel wherever and with whomever he could. He will greatly be missed by all who knew and loved him, but we look forward in faith to reuniting again in Heaven.
A celebration of life will be held at the First Presbyterian Church of Bridgeport on Saturday, January 27th 2024 beginning with visitation with the family from 12:00-1:00 PM, followed by a fellowship luncheon from 1:00-2:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Bridgeport, 515 DeKalb St., Bridgeport, PA 19405.
