Umberto Subranni

Umberto Subranni passed away on Friday, January 26, 2018, at Norriton Square Nursing & Rehab in Norristown, PA. He was 89. Mr. Subranni was a resident of Plymouth Meeting, PA and was a member of Holy Saviour Church in Norristown, PA. He worked as a welder for the former Alan Wood Steel Company. Umberto loved reading, growing fruit trees, gardening and making his own wine. Born in Fresagrandinaria, Italy on October 1, 1928, he was a son of the late Donato and Emma (Longhi) Subranni. His wife was the late Lidia (Petrucci) Subranni, who died in 2012. Surviving are his loving family including his daughter, Donatella Pileggi and her husband, Paolo, of Plymouth Meeting, PA; 3 grandchildren: Daniele (Helene), Paolo D. (Natalie), and Alex (Meredith); 7 great-grandchildren; a brother, Piero Nino Subranni and his wife, Loreta, of Plymouth Meeting, PA; and many other loving family members. Relatives and friends are invited to Umberto’s viewing at Holy Saviour Church, 407 E. Main St., Norristown, PA on Friday, February 2, 2018 from 8:30 to 9:45 am, with his Funeral Mass immediately following at 10:00 am. Entombment in St. Patrick's Cemetery Mausoleum, E. Norriton Twp.
