Vera (Sarabus) Moser-Kordek

Vera (Sarabun) Moser-Kordek, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 4, 2011, surrounded by her loving family at her residence in Swedeland, PA. She was 86. Mrs. Moser-Kordek graduated from the former Bridgeport High School, Class of 1943. She was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church in Bridgeport, PA, where she belonged to their Ladies Auxiliary and was a monitor of the Junior Sodality. Vera was also a member of the former Swedeland Civic Association and was a co-founder of Swedeland Park. Born in Bridgeport, PA on November 13, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Luka and Kathryn (Horodniczka) Sarabun. Surviving are two sons, Charles W. Moser and his wife, Alberta C. of Gilbertsville, PA and Joseph S. Moser and his wife, Janet M. of Swedeland, PA; two daughters, Kathy F. Mattis of Swedeland, PA and Winnie M. Knauer and her husband, Paul of Swedeland, PA; seven grandchildren: Kimberly, Charles, Lisa, Paula, Joseph, Jennifer and Raymond; eleven great-grandchildren: Michael, Jacob, Nathan, Max, Phoebe, Eva, Luca, Kai, Lilly, Win and Jack; and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Winfield S. Moser, who died in 1973, second husband, Joseph W. Kordek, who died in 1985, a brother, Charles C. "Chuck" Sarabun, and two sisters, Mary Shewchuk and Michaelina Kwasin.Divine Liturgy will be at SS. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, 519 Union Ave., Bridgeport, PA 19405 on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at 10:00am. Officiating will be Msgr. Dr. Ronald Popivchak, Pastor. Relatives and friends may call on Saturday morning from 9 to 9:50am, at the church. Interment will be private in SS. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Cemetery, King of Prussia, PA.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Vera's memory to the above named church and/or Hospice Inspiris, 1006 W. 8th Ave., Suite-B, King of Prussia, PA 19406.
