Verna Marie Lynch

Verna Marie Lynch (nee Pinkerton), 98, of Jenkintown, PA passed away peacefully on October 25, 2024. Verna, before moving to Jenkintown, resided in Sea Isle City, NJ and Elkins Park, PA. Born on November 15, 1925 to the late Anna and Vernon Pinkerton. Predeceased by her beloved husband Frank and dear sister Anne Ambrosino.

Loving mother of Joanne Ayer (Robert). Devoted grandmother to Kelly and Steven (Amy) and great grandmother to Brandon Stickel and Ellie Ayer. Verna is also survived by her sister Joan Coll.

Verna attended Melrose Academy at an early age with her sister Anne and the two of them modeled being only one year apart. She worked at Schnader Harrison Segal and Lewis and was a city clerk and tax collector while living in Sea Isle City, NJ. Verna will be remembered as being extremely intelligent and a true perfectionist.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Thursday, October 31st from 9:45-10:45 AM followed by her funeral mass at 11 AM both at Immaculate Conception BVM Church, 606 West Ave. Jenkintown, PA 19046. Her interment will be held at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Immaculate Conception BVM Church.
