Victor L. Barr, Jr.

Victor L. Barr, Jr. passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at the age of 79. Born November 18, 1944 in Philadelphia, Vic was a graduate of St. Tommy Moore High School and Penn State University, where he earned an Architecture degree and went on to launch an award-winning international design career.

Most fondly remembered for his wit, Vic was always found with a joke on the tip of his tongue. Even during the final days of battling his health, Vic was making anyone in the room laugh. The Barr family was most often found all together at their shore house in Stone Harbor, NJ, and it’s easy to say this is where Victor was happiest—surrounded by his family, sun on his face, and beer (or red wine) in hand.

Victor is survived by his wife of 38 years, Catherine (nee Corbett) Barr; daughter, MaryVictoria Montanari and her husband, Eric; and his new granddaughter, Molly Catherine Montanari, born October 15, 2024. He is also survived by one brother and three sisters as well as many other loving relatives and friends.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, November 8, 2024 at St. Monica Church, 63 Main Ave. Berwyn, PA 19312 from 9:30am to 10:50am with his Funeral Mass beginning at 11:00am. Inurnment will be private.
