IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Victoria
Lendo
December 31, 1945 – December 29, 2025
Victoria Lendo (née Vergilis), age 79, passed away on December 29, 2025 at St. Mary Medical Center. Born in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania in 1945, she was the daughter of the late Armond Vergilis and Arlene Vergilis (née Mauck).
Victoria graduated from Bald Eagle Nittany High School and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Lock Haven University. She began her teaching career as a student teacher in the Pennsbury School District and was soon hired full-time, embarking on a 33-year career dedicated to educating young minds. Throughout her tenure, she taught at several elementary schools including Oxford Valley, Manor, Quarry Hill, Penn Valley, and Edgewood.
A passionate sports fan, Victoria was a devoted supporter of Philadelphia teams. She held Eagles season tickets from 1973 to 1975, was present in Philadelphia the night the Phillies won the World Series in 2008, and proudly traveled to Minneapolis in 2018 to witness the Eagles’ Super Bowl victory. She was also a loyal Penn State Nittany Lions fan.
Victoria gave generously of her time, volunteering for 17 years at St. Mary Medical Center. She loved to travel, with summers often spent at the Jersey Shore, and enjoyed visits to local casinos. Above all, her greatest joy came from spending time with her family. She especially cherished visits from her beloved granddog, Jordan.
Victoria is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Kevin Lendo; her cherished children, Tia Lendo (Chip) of Brooklyn, and twin daughters Kerri Lendo and Trisha Lendo (David Wingo), both of Los Angeles; her brother, Joseph Vergilis (Linda) of California; and her sister, Kim Vergilis of Lock Haven, Pennsylvania.
She is also fondly remembered by her nephew Clay Andrews (Katie) of Lock Haven and their children, Harleigh and Rob Andrews; her nephew Joey Vergilis (Karen Cruz-Orduna); her niece Molly Upton; and her great-nephews, Carter and Shea, all of California.
She was preceded in death by her dear sister, Sylvia Andrews.
