Vincent D. Griffin, born March 25, 1934, peacefully went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, March 12, 2019. Vince was the son of the late Vincent and E. Marie (nee Curran) Griffin. Survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Rosanne L. (nee Davey) Griffin. Amazing father of Linda Wilson (Vince), Susanne (Dave) Weber, Stephen (Bernadette) Griffin, and Christopher (Donna) Griffin. Fun, crazy, loving, adoring grandfather to Dennis (Ann) and Matthew Wilson, David (Shannon), Larry (Steph), Danielle and Nicole Weber, Valerie (nee Griffin) (Tom) Motto, Stephen (Julie) Griffin, Sam, Ally and Zach Griffin. Loving great-grandfather to Wyatt, Jayson, Sofia, DJ, Ryan Wilson, Kaya Motto, Tessi Weber and Klaire. Also survived by brother, Richard (Debbie) Griffin from Colorado and many loved nieces and nephews. Predeceased by one brother, Blair Griffin. Vince proudly worked for GE/Lockheed Martin for 50 years. He truly cared about the people who he worked alongside for all those years. He was manager of facilities for many years until he retired from GE. He then came out of retirement and went back to Lockheed Martin as he truly missed the people. When he returned, he was the friendly face that greeted everyone when they came in the door at Building D. He knew everyone and everyone loved him. Years ago, he was the company Santa Claus for the annual children’s party and honestly there wasn't a man who had a truer, more loving heart that could fit that role. He loved his family with all his heart. They were his true pride and joy. He was truly the biggest cheerleader for every one of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren no matter what they endeavored. He could be found on the sideline of every sporting event, in the stands at every graduation, in the audience of every play or recital, in the NICU rocking an ill grandchild, in the waiting room of every birth of every new member of the family. He showed us by example what it means to be an amazing husband and parent, with love, kindness, patience, support and understanding. He gave us laughter, as every outing with him was surely to be filled with some sort of adventure and hilarious outcome. He was the heart and soul of this family and we could not have been blessed with anyone more amazing to be able to have called dad or grandpop. A quote that depicts him well, "Grandpop, a little bit parent, a little bit teacher, a little bit Best Friend and a little bit Partner in Crime." He was truly an exceptional man and will be forever missed by all who knew and loved him. Until we meet again dad, we love you.
