Virginia L. “Ginny” (Lee) McQuillan passed away peacefully on Monday, September 4, 2017 at Brittany Pointe Estates in Lansdale, PA. She was 91. Mrs. McQuillan was a resident of E. Norriton, PA. She graduated from the Montgomery Hospital School of Nursing and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Villanova University. Ginny had many phases of her nursing career including RN hospital nurse, instructor of nursing students, and school nurse. She then worked as the coordinator of nursing services for the Upper Merion School District. Ginny was a member of St. Paul R. C. Church in E. Norriton, a member and former president of the Business & Professional Women’s Club and also a member and former president of PSEA, the State Education Association. Ginny was an avid traveler and some of her favorite places were Ireland, Italy and Germany. After retirement, Ginny and her husband traveled cross country in their RV. She also enjoyed embroidering, knitting, crocheting and quilting. Born in Vineland, NJ on February 9, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Anna Lee. She was the wife of the late Jack F. McQuillan, Jr., who died in 2000. Surviving is her loving family including a son, Jack F. McQuillan, III and his wife, Rose, of Oxford, PA; a daughter, Ginny Lopenski of E. Norriton, PA; three grandchildren: Danielle Lopenski, Paul (Kristi) McQuillan and Jeffrey (Jaimee) McQuillan; four great-grandchildren: Scott, Tyler, Brenden & Kiera; two brothers, Ed Lee of Kissimmee, FL & Bob Lee of Carneys Point, NJ; a sister, Lucille Barber of Millville, NJ; and many other loving family members. She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Daniel Lopenski; and a sister, Eleanor Albright. Relatives & friends are invited to Ginny’s Funeral Mass at St. Paul R. C. Church, 2007 New Hope St., E. Norriton on Monday, September 11, 2017 at 10:00 am. Her viewings will be on Sunday evening from 6 to 8 pm, at the Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St., Bridgeport, PA, also Monday morning from 9 to 9:45 am, at the church. Interment will be in St. Patrick Cemetery, East Norriton, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ginny’s memory to the American Heart Association, 5455 N.
