W. Scott Royer Obituary W. Scott Royer, age 59 of Bridgeport, PA passed away unexpectedly on Jan. 13, 2018. Born in Gettysburg, PA to Kermit A. Royer, Sr. and the late Merle Royer (Grim). He was raised in Norristown, PA and went to Norristown Area High School, class of 1976. A year later, he entered the United States Navy and was stationed in Virginia Beach. He was a Petty Officer Second Class………. After the Navy, he started working for SEI in Oaks, PA, where he worked for 26 years. He recently became an independent contractor with Uber, a job he truly enjoyed. He was an avid league bowler, softball enthusiast, die hard Philadelphia sports fan (especially the Flyers), and a cat lover. In his spare time, he enjoyed going to the King of Prussia mall to walk around and observe life. Scott is preceded in death by his mother Merle Royer and sister Michelle Royer. He is survived by his daughters, Alexa Downs and Maria Downs, whom he absolutely adored. He is also survived by his father, Kermit A. Royer, Sr. (Diane); sister, Kitty Royer; brother, Kermit A. Royer, Jr. (Donna), as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Saturday, January 20, 2018 from 10am- 12pm at Szpindor-Meyers Funeral Home 101 N. Park Ave. Trooper, PA 19403. A service will immediately follow at 12pm.
