Walter Raymond Boys “Ray” Walter Raymond (Ray) Boys age 68 of Claymont passed away on April 6, 2012 at Christiana Hospital after a brief illness. He was born in Wilmington to the late Walter and Alice (Oliver) Boys. He served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War, was a past member of the Brandywine Hundred fire Co. and coached women’s softball for ICI and later Zeneca. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed bowling and fishing. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Patsy L. (DeBusk) Boys; his daughter, Laura A. Smutz (Charles); a brother, David L. Boys (Gail); a sister, Barbara A. Boys; an aunt, Anna Nast and 2 granddaughters who were the apple of his eye, Megan E. and Allison B. Smutz. Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing from 6pm to 8pm on Wednesday, April 11th and again 10am to 11am on Thursday, April 12th followed by a funeral service at 11:15am at the United Methodist Church of the Atonement, 3519 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE. Interment and Military Honors will follow in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear, DE.
