Walter 'Bim' J. Bukowski

Walter J. (Bim) Bukowski   Walter J. (Bim) Bukowski, 88, of Tacony in Philadelphia, PA passed away Saturday, December 27th, 2014 peacefully. Walter was born in Philadelphia, PA on December 28, 1925, a son of the late Maryanna (Modrzejewska) and Andrew  Bukowski.  He served in the U.S. Navy in WW II.  He worked as a Supervisor for the US Postal Service in Philadelphia.   Beloved husband of Peg (nee Burke).  Loving father of Joan Tanghe (the late Dennis), Theresa Cannon (Lou) and Michael (Ann).  Devoted grandfather of Dennis-Michael, Kaitie, Brianna, Dan, Andrew, Jamie, Joseph, Michael & Kevin.  Bim was one of 14 siblings and is survived by two sisters Marie Gebka and Jean Smith.   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Leo the Great Church 6658 Keystone St. Philadelphia, PA 19135. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Tuesday December 30, 2014 from 9:30-10:50 AM and his funeral mass at 11 AM at St. Leo the Great Upper Church.  His interment will be at Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
