Walter (Skip) C. Davidson, Jr.
July 1928 - March 2023
Skip, as he was known by most, was a warm and peace-loving man who had a love
for God and his word the Bible. In the 1930’s his father came into contact with
the Bible Students, as Jehovah’s witnesses were then known, and shared what he
learned with Skip who also came to love the Bible truths he learned, for his
entire life. Skip enjoyed sharing his hope for the future with others and
especially looked for those who spoke other languages to share Bible literature
with them in their own language. In the 1950’s he was instrumental along with
others in acquiring land, preparing and building what is now known as the Wayne
Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness on Conestoga Rd in Wayne, Pa.
Skip also worked hard to support his wife of seven decades through many
avenues including a successful guitar and music shop called “Skip’s Studio” in
Media in the 1970’s. He loved music and played many instruments including guitar
and his player piano well into his 90’s. He met many famous musicians including
Jim Croce.
As a young man he loved baseball, he enjoyed oil painting, he was good with
wood working projects around the house, the never ending yard work and always
seemed to have a dog within arms reach.
He was a very kind and considerate man to all and cared for his wife Stella until
her death in 2019. They had no children but leave behind many friends. Skip died
peacefully in the home of a friend confident of the Bible’s promise of a
resurrection
