Wayne L. Holden

Wayne L. Holden, age 64, passed away suddenly on Tuesday morning, January 27, 2015 at his residence in King of Prussia, PA. Mr. Holden was a graduate of Jacksonville University in Florida and worked as a manager in the food service industry in Southeastern, PA for many years. He most recently was employed by Home Depot in King of Prussia, where he worked part time until his retirement. He was a member of Valley Forge Presbyterian Church in King of Prussia, PA. Wayne achieved the rank of Eagle Scout and served as Cubmaster of Troop 551 and Scoutmaster of Troop 481, both in King of Prussia. He was also a loyal Meals on Wheels volunteer. His sons were very involved in sports and scouting and Wayne was a driving force behind their success. He was a part of everything they did and offered constant encouragement. Born in Rapid City, SD on July 18, 1950, he was a son of Agnes (Hanson) Holden of Audubon, PA and the late Leonard Holden. Surviving is his loving family including his mother, his wife of 38 years, Lorraine F. (Daugherty) Holden; two sons, Dennis and Amy Holden and David and Morgan Holden; two grandchildren, Zachary and Claire, and another grandson due in February; and many other loving family members. He was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Stowe. Wayne's Memorial Service will be held at The Bacchi Funeral Home and Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St., Bridgeport, PA on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 4:00 pm. Officiating will be Pastor Blake Brinegar. The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday from 3 to 4:00 pm, at the funeral home.
