Wesley Emery Sidnam, 91, WWII Veteran, passed peacefully in his sleep on August 9th. He was born on July 9th, 1925 on Staten Island, NY where he was raised. He is predeceased by his parents, Frederick J. Sidnam Sr. and Estelle (Knudson); wife of 52 years, Dahla (Lindstrom); and his brother Frederick J. Sidnam Jr. Wes graduated from Brooklyn Tech HS in NYC in 1943. He then enlisted in the Navy and served as a flight engineer in PBY aircraft. After his honorable discharge he attended University of Denver and graduated in 1950 as a Mechanical Engineer. In 1990 he retired to spend time with his family and friends in the home he loved. He also enjoyed helping his neighbors in any way that he was able. Survived by brother Robert D. Sidnam of Miller’s Creek NC, sister-in-law Marie (Carlin) of Northport NY, daughter Laura L. of Mont Clare, PA, son Douglas R. (Patricia Rose) of Smithtown, NY, daughter Donna L. (Michael Eddinger) of Allentown PA, his beloved grandchildren Nancy, Stephanie, Kevin, and Christopher and also numerous nieces and nephews.
