William "Bill" C. Smith

William “Bill” C. Smith, 61, of Levittown, PA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, surrounded by his loving family at his residence.

Bill was born in Philadelphia, PA on September 9,1962 to the late Helen (nee Grochowski) and William C. Smith. He was a devoted husband to Michele Smith (Brennan) with whom he shared 40 wonderful years of marriage.

Bill is survived by his three children. W. Casey Smith (Heather), Garrett M. Smith (Dana), and Blake C. Smith. He was a proud Grandfather to Stella R. Smith, W. Carter Smith, Ruby R. Smith, and Ryan E. Smith.

He was the beloved son of Helen and William C. Smith of Bustleton, PA and had five sisters: Patricia Mower (deceased), Deborah Edwards (Harry), Maria Yost (deceased), Karen Schmidt (James), and his twin sister Kathy Stern (Mark).

Bill is best remembered for his undeniable warmth, sense of humor, love of golf, and overwhelming sense of pride for his boys, leaving anyone lucky enough to cross his path in a better place. He was known as a friend to many and by the patrons of his store, Uncle Bills Country Market. Bill was a proud and successful business owner for 19 years. He operated the store day in and day out and had a passion for serving the neighborhood and local community. Every holiday Bill would prepare meals for a handful of customers who he knew fell on hard times. He was the type of man that would give you the shirt off his back and always did the right thing. He instilled the same values in his children.

Bill was always a shoulder to lean on or an ear to listen. He always gave the best advice and spoke from his heart. He genuinely cared about everyone around him, and always put others before himself. He truly was a class act. We were blessed to know him and to love him.

Family and friends are invited to Bill’s viewing on Tuesday evening July 30th, 2024, from 6 PM to 8 PM at the Hoffmann Meyers Givnish Funeral Home (1770 Brown Ave., Bensalem, PA). Another viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 31st, at 10 AM followed by a funeral mass starting at 11 AM both held at St. Ephrem Catholic Church (5400 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, PA, 19020).
