William Burrill Canfield

William Burrill Canfield passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 23, 2020 at his residence in King of Prussia, Pa. He was 74. He worked as an office manager for Travelers Insurance. William did vessel examinations in New Jersey marinas and would give stickers to the boaters to show to the Coast Guard to prove the vessels passed inspection. He was a member and retiree of the Coast Guard Auxiliary and taught boating classes at Upper Merion High School. William was an US Veteran serving in the Army. Born in Arlington, MA on May 17, 1945, he was the son of the Rodney and Barbara (Burrill) Canfield. Surviving are his loving family including his wife of over 45 years, Monica Agnes (Cormier) Canfield; a son, Christopher Thomas Canfield; a daughter, Jennifer Anne Greene and her husband, Peter; two grandchildren, Abigail Rebecca and Frederick William Greene; a sister, Jean Allitta Showalter; and many other loving family members. Services will be private at the request of the family.
