William C. Drolet

William Connell "Bill" Drolet passed away peacefully on Friday, July 25, 2014 at his residence in King of Prussia, PA. He was 84. Mr. Drolet worked as an Electrical System Engineer for the former General Electric Co. in King of Prussia, PA, for 35 years. He graduated from Villanova University, Class of 1951. Bill was a member of Mother of Divine Providence Church in King of Prussia, PA. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus since 1971: a past Grand Knight of Council 5480 in Newport News, VA and Council 7565 in Trooper, PA; a member of Knights of Columbus 4th Degree, Father Tomko Assembly and financial secretary of Holy Family Council 3327, both in Bridgeport, PA; and a past president and secretary of the King of Prussia Seniors.Born in Atlantic City, NJ on October 23, 1929, he was a son of the late Joseph G. and Margaret A. (Connell) Drolet. He is survived by his loving family including his wife of 61 years, Helen Marie (Falkenstein) Drolet; 3 sons: William J. Drolet and his wife, Elizabeth, of Poquoson, VA, COL (ret) John D. Drolet and his wife, Susan, of Cincinnati, Ohio and Robert C. Drolet and his wife, Julie, of Bala Cynwyd, PA; a daughter, Margaret A. Hunt and her husband, Christopher, of King of Prussia, PA; 12 grandchildren: William Jr., Michelle, Brittany, Brandon, Catherine, Nicholas, Michael, Jennifer, Sarah, Christopher Jr., Aliyah and Robert Jr.; 5 great-grandchildren: Jackson, Jonah, Aiden, Owen and Annie; and many other loving family members. He was preceded in death by a son, Dennis T. Drolet, and a brother, Joseph G. Drolet.Relatives & friends are invited to Bill's Funeral Mass at Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Rd., King of Prussia, PA on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at 10:00 am. His viewing is Wednesday from 9 to 9:50 am, at the church.
