William F. Bates, Iii

William F. Bates III passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at his residence in Boothwyn, PA. He was 80. He graduated from Chichester High School and worked as a technician. William was a member of Restoration Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Boothwyn, PA, where he was an Elder and Deacon. He enjoyed carpentry, gardening, playing the guitar and trips down to the shore.

Born on July 15, 1943, in Chester, PA, he was a son of the late James Joseph and Ethel Mae (Mercer) Bates.

Surviving is his loving family including his wife, Rosalie F. (Burkins) Bates; a daughter, Roseann Pirillo and her husband, Michael; 3 grandchildren, Gianna, Michael, and Joseph Pirillo; a brother, David Bates; a sister, Diana Bates; a sister-in-law, Emmie Bates; a sister-in-law Ricci Burkins; and many other loving family members.

William is preceded in death by a brother, James Bates, a sister Betty Waltersdof, and a sister Elloise Kordowski.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Memorial Service at Restoration Presbyterian Church (PCA), 2655 Chichester Ave., Boothwyn PA on January 25th at 11:00 am.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in William’s memory to Restoration Presbyterian Church (PCA), 2655 Chichester Ave., Boothwyn, PA 19061
