William A. Franklin, Sr., 52, of Trooper, PA, passed away on December 28, 2017, surrounded by his family. Born June 19, 1965 in Norristown, PA, he was the son of the late John J. Franklin Sr. and Barbara J. (Seamon) Franklin. Bill lived in Trooper and attended Methacton High School. Bill loved classic muscle cars and worked as an automotive painting and refinishing technician for many years. Bill also worked for the John Middleton Tobacco Company, King of Prussia, Pennsylvania as a maintenance engineer for over seventeen years until he was no longer able to work due to his disability and illness. Some of Bill’s favorite pastimes were watching NASCAR; golfing; trout fishing with his son and grandson; spending time with his children and grandchildren and sitting quietly watching the birds visit his feeders and watching ‘Columbo’. Bill is survived by his children William, Stephanie, Brandy, Robert and his daughter-in-law Courtney and grandson Bryce and granddaughter Brielle Franklin. He is also survived by his stepmother Marlene Franklin; sister, Cheryl “Sister” Simkanin; brothers John Franklin Jr; Greg Franklin; Nick Carroll and step-sister Laura Carroll. He is also survived by numerous nephews; nieces and great nephews and nieces. Bill was preceded in death by his beloved father John Franklin Sr. and brothers Richard and Robert Franklin.
