William J. Giangiulio, Sr. passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 31, 2017, at Einstein Montgomery Medical Center in E. Norriton, PA. He was 87. Mr. Giangiulio was a resident of Norristown, PA. He worked as a foreman for the Weyerhaeuser Paper Company in Miquon, PA. William was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church in Norristown, where he was deeply involved as a former usher and trustee. He was an avid golfer, hunter, fisherman and swimmer and also enjoyed taking walks, and taking excellent care of his garden. Most of all, William cared for his family, with a special place in his heart filled with love for his grandchildren. Born in Swedesburg, PA on August 11, 1930, he was a son of the late Carmen and Mary Grace (DiBenedetto) Giangiulio. Surviving is his loving family including his wife, Marian (Emerson) Giangiulio; two sons, William J. Giangiulio Jr. and his wife, Lorraine, of Walnutport, PA and David M. Giangiulio and his wife, Kristin Eberhardt, of Limerick, PA; nine grandchildren; and many other members of his family. Relatives & friends are invited to William’s Funeral Service at the Asbury United Methodist Church, 1441 Pine St. in Norristown, PA on Friday, January 5, 2018 at 11:00 am. The family will receive guests and visitors at the church on Friday from 10 to 10:50 am. Interment will be at Valley Forge Memorial Gardens, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in William’s memory to the Asbury United Methodist Church, 1441 Pine St. in Norristown, PA 19401.
