William W. "Bill" Groff, Iii

William W. “Bill” Groff, III passed away peacefully on Friday, May 25, 2018 at his residence in Jeffersonville, PA. He was 71. Bill started working as an auto mechanic at his family’s business, Groff’s Sunoco in Norristown then later worked at Reedman-Toll in Langhorne, PA, retiring in 2009. Even though Bill worked full time at Reedman-Toll, he would still help his father at the family business until 2001, when they closed. Bill served in the National Guard. He was an avid Harley enthusiast, and was a Philadelphia Eagles fan who enjoyed watching them win the Super Bowl. Born in Norristown, PA on November 3, 1946, he was a son of the late Mary M. (Reiter) and William W. Groff, Jr. Surviving is his loving family including his two sons, William W. Groff, IV and Brian Groff; four grandchildren: Elijah, Ethan, Evan, and Gavin; his companion, Linda Thierfelder; a brother, George R. Groff; two nephews, Matthew and Michael Groff, and many other family members. Funeral services and inurnment will be private.
