William W. 'Bill' Keil

November 14, 1925 — October 23, 2015

William W. “Bill” Keil passed away peacefully on Friday, October 23, 2015 at Mercy Suburban Hospital in E. Norriton, PA. He was 89. Mr. Keil was a lifelong resident of King of Prussia, PA. He served for over 26 years as a building inspector & zoning officer for Upper Merion Twp. & 3 years for the Boro of West Conshohocken. During these years he attended many seminars on building and zoning at the Wharton School in Philadelphia, and he attended classes at the Penn State main campus. Bill was a member of the former St. Augustine R.C. Church in Bridgeport, PA, a third & fourth degree Knight of Columbus, Council #3321 in Bridgeport, and a charter member of the Neffs Mills Hunt Club in Huntingdon, PA, where he remained active for 44 years. Bill was a gold card member of the Pennsylvania Building Officials Conference, of which he served for many years as a past president and vice-president. Bill enlisted into the Army Air Corps during WW II while still in high school. He was accepted into the Aircraft Pilot training program, attending engineering classes at Texas A&M. Bill was born on November 14, 1925, in King of Prussia, PA on the Wilson Farm property which is now occupied by the King of Prussia Plaza Shopping Center. He was a son of Henry A. and Katheryn M. (McLaughlin) Keil. He was the husband of the late Cecilia A. (Lawless) Keil, who died in 2007. Surviving is his loving family including a daughter, Sharon K. DiDomenico (Fred J.-deceased) of Limerick, PA; three grandchildren: Kimberly & Ted Miller of Schwenksville, PA, Wendy & Jeff Crist of Limerick, PA and William & Teneil DiDomenico of Bechtelsville, PA; eight great-grandchildren: Kyle, Hailey & Kristen Miller, Ryan, Kevin & Katelyn Crist and Lucia and Will DiDomenico; a brother, James C. Keil and his wife, Pat, of W. Chester, PA; two sisters, Catherine Chesney of Petersburg, PA and Mary Jean Weis of Allentown, PA; and many other loving family members. He was preceded in death by a son, William W. Keil, Jr.; a brother, Henry Keil; and a sister, Frances Holland. Relatives & friends are invited to Bill’s Funeral Mass at the St. Augustine Worship Site, 464 Ford St., Bridgeport, PA on Friday, October 30, 2015 at 11:00 am. His viewing is Friday from 9 to 10:50 am, at the worship site. Interment will be in St. Augustine Cemetery, King of Prussia, PA. Condolences at www.bacchifh.com
