William A Leo

June 14, 1929 — August 23, 2012

William A. Leo, “Mr. Bill” age 83 of Wilmington passed away on Thursday, August 23rd at Compassionate Care Hospice in St. Francis Hospital.  Born in Duo, West Virginia to the late Tony and Tressa Leo, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Joanne Hoekstra and a brother, Joe Leo.  Bill worked as a plasterer for Steve Cook for many years before retiring in 1992.  He was an avid golfer and Phillies fan, he also loved birds, especially Bald Eagles and he loved cooking for his family and friends.  He will be remembered for his many contributions to the Anna Marie Dance Studio family. Bill is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Anna Marie (Saggione) Leo; two children, Bonnie Mosser (Brett) and Sonny Leo; three grandchildren, Jessica, Ean and Alex; three siblings, Louise Barnisky, Budge Leo and Pauline Janney; sister in law Judy Leo; and his best golfing buddy, Joe Morales.  Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass 12 noon Tuesday, August 28th at St. Helena RC Church, 602 Philadelphia Pike, Wilmington where friends may call from 10 to 11:50 a.m.  Interment Private. In lieu of flowers contributions in Bill’s name may be made to Compassionate Care Hospice, 702 B Kirkwood Hwy., Wilmington, DE 19805. Visitation: 10 to 11:50 am Tuesday Aug 28 Mass 12 Noon Tuesday Aug 28 St. Helena RC Church Interment Private
