William Y. Lewis

William Y. Lewis passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 12, 2010 at Bryn Mawr Hospital in Bryn Mawr, PA. He was 69. Mr. Lewis was a resident of King of Prussia, PA. He was a retired Merchant Marine. William was a member of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary for 33 years, and was a Division Captain. He loved boating and fishing. Mr. Lewis was a US Air Force veteran of the Vietnam Era. Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on May 20, 1941, he was a son of the late William D. and Dorothy L. (York) Lewis. Surviving are his loving family including his wife of 26 years, Barbara R. (Deiss) Lewis; a step-son, William E. Harshaw, Jr. and his wife, Kim of Montrose, PA and a daughter, Kelly Lewis of PA.Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Service at The Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St. (Rt. 202), Bridgeport, PA 19405 on Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at 10:00am. His viewing is Tuesday morning from 9 to 9:50am, at the funeral home. Interment in Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill, PA.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in William's memory to the US Coast Guard Auxiliary Association, 9449 Watson Industrial Park, St. Louis, MO 63126 and/or the American Diabetes Association, 150 Monument Road, Suite 100, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004.
