William M. 'Bill' Mellody

William M. "Bill" Mellody passed away peacefully on Monday, March 11, 2013, after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease, at Arden Courts Assisted Living in King of Prussia, PA. He was 85. Mr. Mellody was a resident of Wayne, PA. He worked as a regional director for JACS, which is a division of Job Corps in Philadelphia, PA. Bill was a member of Mother of Divine Providence Church in King of Prussia, PA. Born in Scranton, PA on April 10, 1927, he was a son of the late William and Mary M. (Collins) Mellody. Surviving is his loving family including his beloved wife of 41 years, Constance L. "Connie" (Cortis) Mellody of Wayne, PA. He was the loving father to daughters, Constance M. Mellody of Wayne, PA and Sharon Mellody, deceased at birth. Also survived by a brother, John Mellody of Philadelphia, PA; two sisters, Marian Holmes and her husband, Robert, of Kingsville, MD and Romayne Dougherty and her husband, Edward, of Binghamton, NY; and many nephews and nieces. Relatives & friends are invited to Bill's Funeral Mass at Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Rd., King of Prussia, PA 19406 on Friday, March 15, 2013 at 10:00am. Officiating will be the Rev. Martin T. Cioppi, Pastor. His viewing will be Friday morning from 9 to 9:50 am, at the church.
