William "Bill" Mooney

William “Bill” Mooney passed away suddenly on Thursday, September 24, 2020 at Bryn Mawr Hospital. He was 57. Bill was a resident of Bridgeport, PA and was a citizen of Scotland. He worked for Upper Merion Twp. in the Building Maintenance Dept. and was a volunteer firefighter. Bill was a lover of fine cigars and strong Irish whiskey but his passion was performing Irish music in his spare time. Born in Glasgow, Scotland on August 16, 1963, he was the son of the late John Ignatius and Isobel Mackay (Torbett) Mooney. Surviving are his loving family including his four children: Yvonne Mooney, Graham Mooney and his wife, Wendy, Nicole Mooney, and Andrew Mooney; 6 grandchildren: Mica, Devin, Angel, Armani, Evan, and Xander; 2 great grandchildren: Genevive, Lillianna ; a sister, Katherine “Katie” Mooney; and many other loving family members. Relatives and friends are invited to Bill’s viewing on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at the Bacchi Funeral Home and Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St.,Bridgeport, PA 19405 from 12noon to 2pm.
