William T. Mulligan, Sr.

July 19, 1933 — April 29, 2021

William T. Mulligan Sr. passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 29, 2021, surrounded by his family at his residence in King of Prussia, PA. He was 87. Mr. Mulligan graduated from LaSalle College High School in 1951. He then served in the US Army during the Korean War as a Medical Technician, treating severely wounded soldiers at Valley Forge Army Hospital. After the war, he married and attended LaSalle College night school (graduating 1961) on the GI bill, while working as a purchasing clerk at Link Belt Corporation. He then went to work as a Materials Manager for the former GE Aerospace in King of Prussia. Bill was a member of Mother of Divine Providence Church in King of Prussia. He was a member of the American Legion and the Legion of Mary. Born in Philadelphia, PA on July 19, 1933, he was a son of the late William J. and Josephine (Curran) Mulligan; and the husband of the late Patricia Ann (Kuhn) Mulligan, who died in 2014. Surviving is his loving family including a son, William T. (Karen) Mulligan, Jr.; 3 daughters: Marianne (Frank) Donato, Patricia (Eric-deceased) Povish and Maureen (Charles) Dowling; 13 grandchildren: Francis (Kathleen) Donato, Kristin (Ralph) Gifoli, Matthew (Ashly) Donato, William P. Mulligan, Maura (Aaron) Jannetta, Deirdre Mulligan, Shauna (Timothy) Wylesol, Eric (Jennifer) Povish, Tara Povish, Brendan Dowling, Connor Dowling, Keegan Dowling and Delaney Dowling; 11 great-grandchildren: Emma Donato, Francis Donato, Juliana Gifoli, Dominic Gifoli, Rocco Gifoli, Matthew Donato, Adeline Donato, Madison Wylesol, Hank Jannetta, Maeve Jannetta, Charlie Povish, and a new great-granddaughter to be born in July. Siblings include a brother, Charles (Carol) Mulligan; 3 sisters: Sr. Ruth Mulligan (R.S.M.), Marlene Wydro and JoAnn (Pat) Reilly; and many other loving family members. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Mulligan. Relatives & friends are invited to Bill’s viewing at the Bacchi Funeral Home and Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St. (Rt. 202), Bridgeport, PA on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Rd., King of Prussia, PA on Thursday at 10:30 am. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken, PA. Masks and social distancing will be required.
