SAWYER   WILLIAM, on May 29, 2015 at age 95. Beloved husband of the late Catherine (nee Elliff). Loving father of William (Pamela), Thomas (Joanne), Gary and Kathleen Scamardi (Michael). Devoted grandfather of 8 and great-grandfather of 9.  Bill is a decorated World War II Veteran and retired Philadelphia Police Detective.  Relatives and Friends are invited to his viewing Tuesday 7-9 PM   and Wednesday 8:30-9:30 AM   at the Walter J. Meyers Funeral Home 6645 Torresdale Ave. Philadelphia, PA 19135.   A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at St. Bernard Church at 10 AM.
