William Charles Schnell

William Charles Schnell, Sr, also known as Bill, Poppy and Pops, age 68, of Phoenixville, PA passed away on September 28, 2016 after a battle with COPD. Bill was born in Philadelphia ,PA to the late Charles and Anna Schnell. He graduated from Bishop Kenrick in Norristown in 1966. He attended Montgomery County Community College for two years and also spent four years in the army reserve. Bill was a devoted father, grandfather and Uncle with a very close love for his children's friends Mike, Rocky, Jt, Rich, Regan, Andy, Ryan, Nicole, Stacy, Noelle, Jessie, Chris, Janet and Colleen. His three friends he will miss most are Gary, Bob and Vince who each shared such an important piece of his life. Bill spent almost 50 years working for Acme Markets, never missed a Phillies game and enjoyed time at the Avalon shore with family and friends more than anything. He is survived by his waswife 'Bunny' Barclay Schnell of Fort Washington; his daughter Katie Schnell of Phoenixville; his granddaughters Sydney Rose and Riley Mae; his son William Schnell, Jr. of Phoenixville; his daughter in law Jennifer Wood Schnell of Phoenixville and his granddog Bear. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects to the family from 1pm-2pm on Sunday October 9th at St. Helena's Empress Room located at 1489 Dekalb Pike, Blue Bell, PA 19422.
