William D. Schorle

William D. Schorle (Bill) beloved husband of the late Josefina (Giner) and the late Kathleen McCrimmon Schorle, passed away on Thursday, June 14, 2012. Born March 7, 1924, son of the late Joseph and Florence Schorle of Philadelphia, Bill served as a member of the U.S. Army Air Corps with the 1041st Engineer Squadron during WWII. He returned home with his English bride the late Josephina (Giner) and worked as a foreman lineman for PECO until he retired. He is survived by his son Raymond Schorle (Barbara), his grandchildren Brett Schorle (Viviann) and Amanda Martino (Joseph) and three great grandchildren, Javier and Isabella Schorle and Joshua Martino. After the death of his first wife, he married the late Kathleen McCrimmon Schorle who introduced him as a member to the British Officers Club. Bill enjoyed his family and sharing his many wartime memories. Friends and relatives are invited to services on Wednesday, June 20th at Holy Saviour Church, 407 E. Main St., Norristown PA 19401, family will receive guests from 9:30 AM to 11 with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Internment follows at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery,Cheltenham, PA.
