William C. Schutter, Sr. passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 20, 2022. He was 82. William was a resident of King of Prussia, PA. He received his Associates from Montgomery County Community College and graduated from Northwestern University. William was a veteran in the U.S Army serving with Military Police and worked for the Upper Merion Township Police Department for over 41 years retiring as a Sergeant running the Traffic Safety Unit. Prior to that, he was the firearms instructor for Upper Merion Township Police Department for many years, orchestrating the construction of the firing range for the Police Department. He enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his family. Born on December 13, 1939 in Lynnwood, PA, he was a son of the late Florence (Cease) and John H. Schutter, Sr. Surviving are his loving family including his wife of almost 57 years, Judith M. (Major); 2 sons, William C. Schutter, Jr and his wife, Jennifer, and Brian J. Schutter and his wife, Karen; 4 grandchildren: Ashley (Derek), Brianne (Jason), Brandon and Brooke; 2 great-grandchildren: Jacob and Reid; 2 brothers, James Schutter and Robert Schutter and his wife, Barbara; and many nephews and nieces. He is preceded in death by 2 brothers, John H. Schutter, Jr. and Richard Schutter and a sister, Florence Rogan. Relatives and friends are invited to William’s viewing at the Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St. (Rt. 202), Bridgeport, PA on Monday, April 25, 2022 from 9 to 10:50 am, with his Prayer Service starting at 11:00 am.
