William F. Wagner

William F. Wagner passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 15, 2011, surrounded by his loving family at his son's residence in Schwenksville, PA. He was 85. Mr. Wagner was a former resident of Allentown, PA and Bridgeport, PA. He was a retired supervisor for the Upper Merion Twp. Highway Department. William was a member of the American Legion Post 0255 in Sellersville, PA.Mr. Wagner was a US Navy veteran, serving from 1943 to 1946 with the Seabees in the Pacific Theatre of Operations. Born in Norristown, PA on April 1, 1925, he was a son of the late William and Margaret (Sperry) Wagner. He was the husband of the late Marie (Mazzerle) Wagner, who died in 2010. Surviving is his loving family including three sons, David V. Wagner and his wife, Jackie of Schwenksville, PA, Glenn W. Wagner and his wife, Connie of Trexlertown, PA and Bruce Wagner and his wife, Debbie of Bridgeport, PA; eight grandchildren: Matthew, Danielle, Nicholas, Katelynne, Krysten, Rebecca, Bruce Jr. and Alisha; two brothers, Kenneth Wagner and his wife, Alice of Bellmawr, NJ and Earl Wagner and his wife, Carla of E. Norriton, PA; three sisters, Dorthey Morsching of Green Lane, PA, Betty Green of Ft. Myers, FL and Nancy Garnett and her husband, Bud of Hatfield, PA; and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Jack Wagner.Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Service at The Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St. (Rt. 202), Bridgeport, PA 19405 on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at 2:30pm. His viewing will be Saturday afternoon from 1 to 2:20pm, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Valley Forge Memorial Gardens, 352 S. Gulph Rd., King of Prussia, PA 19406 on Monday, March 21, 2011 at 1:00pm. The funeral procession will assemble at the cemetery office at 12:45pm, to proceed to the grave.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in William's memory to TriCounty Home Hospice, 13 Armand Hammer Blvd., Suite 201, Pottstown, PA 19464.
