William W. 'Bud' Walker

July 23, 1915 — August 4, 2009

William W. "Bud" Walker, Jr. passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 4, 2009, at his residence in King of Prussia, PA. He was 94. Mr. Walker worked as a dairyman for Maple Croft Farms in Phoenixville, PA and Oakland Dairies in E. Norriton, PA. He was a King of Prussia farm boy who helped run his fathers dairy business. With hard work from his two brothers and three sisters, they ran the farm through the Depression. In 1934, he entered Penn State and selected Dairy Husbandry, something he was familiar with, as his major. Bud was a member of Mother of Divine Providence Church in King of Prussia, PA. He was a graduate of Penn State University, Class of 1937. He was a Republican Party Committee man and he volunteered for Meals on Wheels and the Wayne Cancer Drive. Bud was a Phillies fan, Penn State football fan and a very good tennis player. Born in Tredyffrin Twp., PA on July 23, 1915, he was a son of the late William W. Sr. and Helen B. (Beidler) Walker. He was the husband of the late Elizabeth G. (Graham) Walker, who died in 1993. Surviving are his loving family including three sons, G. Graham Walker and his companion, Patricia Swan of Collegeville, PA, William W. Walker, III of Wayne, PA and James M. Walker of Wayne, PA; one grandson, Scott Walker; two great-grandsons, Brandon & Tyler Walker; a brother, J. Howard Walker of Lansdale, PA; a sister, Rebecca Jane Jones of Malvern, PA; and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by a son, Richard C. Walker; a brother, Richard C. Walker; and two sisters, Beryl Yeakel and Helen Baehr-Nelson. Relatives & friends are invited to his Funeral Mass at Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Rd., King of Prussia, PA 19406 on Friday, August 7, 2009 at 1:00pm. Officiating will be the Rev. Msgr. John T. Conway, Pastor. His viewing will be 12:00 to 12:50pm, at the church. Interment will be private at the request of the family.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Bud's memory to the Upper Merion Park & Historic Foundation, P.O.
