Winifred Mchugh

Winifred McHugh, (nee Dooner), died peacefully on May 21, 2020 at Chandler Hall Nursing Center at the age of 92. Winnie was born in Roosky, County Roscommon, Ireland in 1927 and immigrated to the United States in 1960. She married Charles and they adopted four children. While raising four children Winnie worked numerous jobs, including Stouffer’s Restaurant in Philadelphia, Langhorne Nursing Home in Langhorne as well as McDonald’s in Bensalem. Winnie is survived by her four children: Fiona McKiernan (Victor D’Alessandro), Michael McHugh (Connie), Daniel McHugh (Cathy) and Rosaleen McHugh (Eric Pitts), six grandchildren Sean McKiernan (Colleen), Michel Kemper, Kathleen McKiernan (Chris) Patrick McHugh, Holly McHugh and Danielle Kemper, three great grandchildren O’Rion, Julien, Evan and one on the way. Winnie will also be missed by her many nieces and nephews, the Dooner family. A private mass and burial will take place at St. Ephrem’s Catholic Church in Bensalem , PA on Tuesday, May 26th at 11:00 am followed by the burial at Resurrection Cemetery in Bensalem.
